JTS has successfully secured planning permission for change of use from financial and professional services (Class A2) to mobility and care products showroom (sui-generis). The application site had historically been a car sales showroom with garage but had more recently been occupied for A2 purposes (Financial Services). The Council considered that the proposal is in keeping with the area, which includes a number of businesses, and would bring the site back in to use and provide local employment. As the character of the property would be unaltered the proposal would not have an impact on visual amenity.
