Following a successful planning appeal in 2018 outline planning consent was granted for the demolition of the existing building and the erection of a flour and feed mill on the outskirts of Chelmsford, including storage, alterations to the access, parking, and landscaping, . An application for the approval of reserved matters (access, appearance, landscaping, layout, and scale) was subsequently submitted with permission granted by Chelmsford City Council in August 2022. The layout approved under the reserved matters submission provides the best operational layout for the specialist, experienced milling company. Chelmsford City Council considered the proposal to be acceptable and in accordance with the adopted Local Plan.
