The JTS Partnership has submitted a planning application for a Car Port Solar Array within the car park of a local authority building. The number of car parking spaces will not be affected and therefore ensures a continuation of the land for vehicle parking. The submission includes a Glint and Glare Assessment to demonstrate the lack of harm on nearby dwellings, roads and on aviation activity at Newcastle Airport. The proposal brings about the opportunity to significantly contribute towards the Council’s targets of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2030.
