Eco-camping pods in grounds of listed hotel, Canterbury

The JTS Partnership have submitted a planning application for the erection of 6 no. timber eco-camping pods with en-suite facilities to provide additional visitor accommodation within the grounds of a grade II* listed hotel in Canterbury.  The landscape screening and sensitive design of the pods will not diminish the significance of the heritage asset.  These  will  be  partly  screened  by  the  existing  trees,  with  the installation causing no harm to the trees or roots.  The scheme is not considered to cause harm to the setting of the listed buildings or the character of the conservation area, but allows the hotel to offer additional accommodation without causing harm to the main house or setting.
