Lawful Development Certificate issued for lawful use as residential dwelling in Canterbury

A Lawful Development Certificate has been issued by Canterbury City Council for the lawful use of a property as a residential dwelling. The property had previously been in use as a Bed and Breakfast (use class C1) and, once this use ceased, the owners continued to live in the property for a period in excess of 4 years.  JTS successfully demonstrated that, on the balance of probabilities, the use as a residential dwelling (use class C3) had occurred for a period exceeding 4 years and the lawful use of the property was residential.
