Planning permission & listed building consent granted for refurbishment works at a Grade II listed pub restaurant in Worcester, Worcestershire

Planning permission & listed building consent have been granted by Worcester City Council for refurbishment, to include internal works, changes to modern entrance porch and creation of new rear customer terrace, at a Grade II listed pub restaurant in Worcester, Worcestershire.

Changes within the historic core are limited and comprise the upgrading and replacement of modern insertions (such as the bar counter, back bar fitting, fixed seating and doors) and the insertion of three new screens. No harm is caused to the significance of the asset.

Externally, the modern flat roof entrance porch will be sensitively refurbished and a new customer terrace will be created to the rear of the C20th extensions. These changes do not adversely impact heritage significance or the setting of the building.

The proposed works cause no harm to significance and are compliant with national and local heritage policies and guidance.
