London Borough of Barking and Dagenham have confirmed prior approval is not required and development is permitted under Class MA for the conversion of offices (Class E) into a two bed flat (Class C3). The application was submitted under the provisions of Schedule 2, Part 3, Class MA of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order (GPDO) 2015. In accordance with the GPDO, JTS demonstrated the proposed use was acceptable in relation to transport and highway impact, contamination, flood risk, noise from commercial premises and light to habitable rooms.
